Thanks for choosing to ride the Old Mutual joBerg2c in South Africa.
Our mission is to give you 9 extra-ordinary days on your mountain bike across this special country. It is no secret that participating in a stage race can be a complicated task, and that’s when it’s in your own country. We also understand that South Africa has both the reputation of being beautiful and scary at the same time. However we believe joBerg2c showcases the best of what South Africa has to offer.
That’s where Ellen Allardice from Adventure Racing Tours comes in. Ellen assists in planning your itinerary, providing transport, accommodation and can also customise pre and post excursions so you can experience more of South Africa. Email Ellen on firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or visit our website.

The After Party on 28 April in Scottburgh
We will be having a chilled After Party for all Old Mutual joBerg2c riders on the afternoon/evening of the 28 April in Scottburgh so that we can round off the 9 days properly. So make sure you factor this into your bookings. The venue will be confirmed closer to the time but it will be a private venue for joBerg2c riders to share stories and have a drink together. There will be more about this in future newsletters.
joBerg2cSoweto ride and tour – Wednesday 18 April

If you miss out on the ride you can still book the lunch part. Email Ellen to get your name down. More info will come out soon re details.
Ride for more than yourself
We have a few charities really close to home who have been doing incredible work in South Africa on our route and who use the Old Mutual joBerg2c as part of their fund raising initiatives. If you would like to ride for one of these incredible charities please visit our website to find out more about these inspired non-profit organisations.
We work with the Nelson Mandela Day Project who establish libraries in rural areas; Surgeons for Little Lives, who uplift children’s hospital facilities; and St Lawrence Children’s Haven who provide a safe haven for kids with domestic troubles.
The most important thing about the charities we work with is that you can see where your money is going and how it is spent.
Enjoy your riding.
